Lynn Grevenow Fallon - Parish Administrator and Director of Christian Education
Lynn grew up in Minnesota, loving the arts, music and the outdoors. She has been the Director of Christian Education for the past several years recruiting Sunday school teachers, organizing all necessary supplies, directing the yearly Christmas Pageant along with many other responsibilities. In 2014 Lynn added Parish Administrator to her list of duties bringing her organizational skills, knowledge of technology and pleasant personality to the front office. Studying theater and business at St. Cloud State University, she earned a B.S. degree in Quantitative Methods and Information Systems. Over her years of motherhood Lynn has volunteered in the community with active roles in leading Girl Scouts, coaching, and teaching Sunday School. Occasionally, Lynn plays her flute in accompaniment to the Junior Choir at St. Francis. Lynn has two daughters, a house full of animals and lives in Great Falls. Her hobbies include cooking, hiking, music and gardening. She has been an active member at St. Francis since 2003.
Jeanne and Larry Vote -- Directors of Music
Jeanne Vote serves as our church organist and co-director of music. Prior to joining St. Francis in August 2013, she had served as minister of music and organist at Middleham/St. Peter's Parish in Lusby, Md. She also served as director of academic advising and ADA advocate at St. Mary's College of Maryland and as a classroom and music teacher for several public and private schools. An accomplished organist, pianist, and harpsichordist, Jeanne's performance experience includes ten years with the Maryland Bach Aria Group and several years as harpsichordist and chamber organist for the Alba Music Festival in Italy. She holds a B.A. in music education from Central Washington University, with certifications in K-12 music and K-6 classroom education.
Larry Vote leads the St. Francis Choir and serves as co-director of music for the church. He is a professor of music and special assistant to the president of St. Mary's College of Maryland, where he has served as an educator and senior administrator since 1981. He previously served as director of liturgy and music at St. Mary's University Chapel at the University of Michigan, as a voice instructor at Pacific Lutheran University, and as a choral music instructor for the Tacoma Public Schools in Washington. Larry has been honored with the Norton Dodge Award for Creative and Scholarly Achievement and has twice been nominated for Outstanding Musical Director in the Helen Hayes Awards. He holds a B.A. in music and music education from Central Washington University, where he has since received the Distinguished Alumni Award. Larry also holds an M.M. degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Michigan, and he has studied at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, N.J. and the Academy of Old Music in Amsterdam.
Janet Gralley - Bookkeeper
Janet is a native of Massachusetts and graduated from Allegheny College where she met her husband, Craig. She has been an active member of St. Francis since 1992. Her previous work includes serving as a museum store buyer for the Air & Space Museum, managing the Smithsonian Bookstore and acting as director of the Sackler and Freer Gallery Museum stores. She has enjoyed serving St. Francis as a lay reader, treasurer and senior warden on the vestry, as the Transitional Housing Corp. coordinator for many years and taking a leadership role in a number of major fellowship events. She and her husband have lived in Great Falls since 1986 and have a son, William.
Jane Ruppe - St. Francis Creche Preschool Director
Jane Ruppe joined the Creche soon after the Creche opened in March 2001. She taught the four-year old class and assisted the Director until November 2002 when she became Director of the Creche. Mrs. Ruppe initiated the Outdoor Classroom for the Creche to celebrate its ten year anniversary. She is an ardent advocate for exposing children to nature believeing it is essential for a child's healthy physical and emotional development. Jane worked for eight years at a nearby church-affiliated Mother's Day Out program and Preschool. Hobbies include tennis, jogging, gardening, yoga and cooking. Mrs. Ruppe has a B.S. degree in business from Lehigh University and an M.B.A. in marketing from George Washington University. Jane lived in Great Falls for over 20 years and recently moved to nearby Reston. She has two grown children, William and Frances.
Rita Arteaga - Nursery Supervisor
Rita Arteaga has served as our nursery supervisor for many years. She has been a devoted nanny and children's caregiver for nearly 20 years, and possesses a sweet and gentle way with infants and young children. Rita is originally from Bolivia. She and her husband live in Sterling.
