Greening the Church -Dec 18th

Dear Franciscans,

One of the annual delights of being of the St. Francis Community is to see the church decked out in its finest, and we are coming up on one of those seasons where we truly deck the halls.

Immediately following the 10:00 AM service on December 18 (approximately 11:15 AM), Sunday next and the Fourth Sunday of Advent, we will be greening the church in preparation for the celebration of the Feast of the Nativity on Saturday, December 24, at 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM services, and on Sunday, December 25, at an 11:00 AM. Service.

Directed by the Altar Guild, we will decorate the church with wreaths, evergreens, ribbons and candles, and with some of our more industrious outdoorsmen, we will raise our Christmas Tree in the Green Room just behind the altar. So, plan on coming in some comfortable work clothes because many hands make light work.

There will be good company, good coffee, and some sweets to eat while working. Thank you for your faithfulness, and may your Advent be filled with joyful anticipation of Christmas.

Yours, in Christ,
