On any given Sunday, the St. Francis adult choir numbers between 18 – 20 members. We are all volunteers except our professional soprano and tenor section leaders. While serious about our music, we think of ourselves as affable, easy-going and always in search of a good time. We encourage those who have a sincere desire to sing and serve the parish in this way to consider participating. We are also always looking for new voices and love welcoming them into our fold.
Over the years we have performed several major works with orchestral ensembles including Hayden's "Mass in the Time of War," Vivaldi's "Gloria," Bach's "Magnificat," Britten's "Ceremony of Carols," Saint Saens' "Christmas Oratorio," Charpentier's "Messe de Minuit de Noel," Randall Thompson's "The Peaceable Kingdom," Schubert's "Mass in G," Carl Jenkins' "The Armed Man," "A Mass for Peace," and the Durufle, Faure, Mozart, and Rutter Requiems. You can read more here about our special performances.
We also sing at special services including Maundy Thursday and the Easter Vigil.

Joyful Noyz: An Important Message from Cathy Justice Lard
I am thrilled to be leading the Joyful Noyz this year! Creating music with children is a passion of mine and I am very excited about working together during the coming year. I strongly feel that singing in a church choir has so many benefits for our children. It gives them a safe space to learn and explore musical concepts, a chance to express their faith through music, an opportunity to serve their church, and the feeling that they have both a place in the church and are able to add something to the worship service.
In order to better serve our families and our parish needs, we have made a few changes to the program this year. The Noyz will be singing at the festive Eucharists of All Saints Sunday (November 5) and Christmas Eve (December 24). There will be 3 rehearsals for each of those services; rehearsals will take place on Sundays at 11 am, directly after the 10am service (exact dates TBA).
The Noyz is primarily for children ages 7-13. We are also encouraging everyone to bring a friend to sing with us this year - I hope to see both new and old faces join us! If you have any questions or concerns about the upcoming year, whether the Noyz would be a good fit for your child, or about the choir in general, please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I am looking forward to a year, filled with spiritual - and joyful! - music making!
