Music at St. Francis
St. Francis enjoys a rich and diverse tradition of music, with programs and opportunities for all ages. Our vocal ensembles perform regularly and offer special performances throughout the year.
The St. Francis adult choir sings at the 11:00 service and performs several Evensongs each year. Other highlights have included presentations of Mozart's "Requiem" and Haydn's "Mass in Time of War." Talented soloists and instrumentalists are often featured as well.
We have two children's choirs. Joyful Noyz sings at several 9:00 services from September through May. Our Grace Notes choir for young children ages 5-7 also performs on occasion.
Musical fellowship has strong clergy and parishioner support at St. Francis. The church often joins with other churches in performances and musical events such as the annual "Lift Every Voice and Sing" in March, a program showcasing a variety of gospel choirs from around the region.
Other special productions have included Children of Eden, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Noye's Fludde. We host Family Music Night several times a year and occasionally offer a special bluegrass service on Sunday mornings. Read more about our special performances.
All of our choirs welcome singers who enjoy the fellowship of music and the joy of enhancing the worship experience. For more information on our upcoming music programs or to inquire about joining a choir, please call the church or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
