St. Francis is very fortunate to have a group of talented, dedicated singers who lead music at the 10 am Eucharist and all major feasts of the church year. Week in and week out these parishioners rehearse and sing to embellish our liturgies with music that is a central part of the Episcopal tradition.
Over the years and through the pandemic we have lost a number of singers due to relocation and other issues. Having a large enough core group helps to assure that the choir can function even when some members need to be away. It is for that reason that I ask that those who love to sing and have had some experience with choirs consider stepping forward to sing in the St. Francis Choir. The months of June and July are Ideal months to try singing in the group as we rehearse and sing only on Sunday mornings at 9:15 for the 10 am service. We also plan music that is less difficult during these months which makes it a good time to try singing with the group. I assure you we are a very friendly, fun-loving group that would welcome new members. If you are interested in singing, please respond by email to me, Larry Vote, at levote@smcm.edu for a conversation.
