Yes! Here are updates on our Music Ministry, Funerals, Baptisms, Confirmations, and Weddings.
Music Ministry—New choir members are needed:
It has been eighteen months since the choir has gathered under normal conditions to rehearse and lead the congregation. During that time, people’s lives have changed. The choir can use additional and new voices to support and complement its work, especially to bolster the traditionally male voice ranges. If you love to sing and have sung in choirs before, that is very helpful. Contact the Parish Administrator or Larry Vote to let us know of your interest!
Funerals:
There are delayed Memorial Services related to the passings of much-loved members of St. Francis Church during the past eighteen months. Based on the health markers and the permissions of the diocese, St. Francis is ready to gather these families and friend to honor them and glorify God. Contact the Rector at rector@stfrancisgreatfalls.org or the Parish Administrator at admin@stfrancisgreatfalls.org, or call 703-759-2082 to arrange for these pastoral services with the clergy.
Baptisms:
Baptismal services are the best! And, as above, contact the rector or Parish Administrator to begin the process for adults, children, and infants.
Confirmations, Receptions, and Reaffirmations:
St. Francis is not in-line for an Episcopal visitation this calendar year. Therefore, members who wish to receive the laying on of hands by the bishop for mature public statements of faith have the chance to avail themselves of this Episcopal moment at a joint service of Confirmation, Reception, and Reaffirmation on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at the Falls Church, Falls Church, Virginia. I will be presenting candidates to the bishop celebrating at the service. If you wish to be part of this, please contact the Parish Administrator or Rector at the email addresses or phone number above.
Weddings:
As we acknowledge in all the pastoral services, there may be some preparation for these moments involved, like pre-marital counselling. But we are open for the scheduling and completion of these sacraments. Contacting the Parish Administrator or Rector at the above listed contact information is the way to begin the process.
