Just as Jesus was raised from the dead, we hold the steadfast belief that we, too, shall be raised. Therefore, a funeral liturgy is marked by a profound sense of joy, embracing the certainty that nothing can sever our connection with the boundless love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
While we rejoice in the assurance that our loved one has entered into the nearer presence of our Lord, we also share in the sorrow and compassion of those who mourn their loss.
