St. Francis Episcopal Church offers a number of ways for adults to deepen their relationship with God. These opportunities are both educational and spiritual, encouraging learning from clergy and from each other and developing better spiritual discipline. The goal is always a closer relationship with God and a fuller understanding of what God wants from us.
For more information about any of these opportunities, contact the church office.
Contemplative Prayer
This group meets on Monday evenings and welcomes everyone interested in learning more about contemplative prayer and meditation. The meeting opens with a prayer, followed by a reflection and a period of silence, followed by comments and questions from participants. Seekers welcome! More information can be found on the CAC’s website: cac.org (Center for Action and Contemplation)
Men’s Group
The St. Francis Men’s Group meets via Zoom on Wednesday mornings at 8:30 am for Bible study, theological discussion, prayer, and conversation. The focus is Christian formation through fellowship and group discussion. New members are always welcome!
Thursday Bible Study
Bible study and discussion occur over Zoom on Thursday afternoons at 5 pm, from October through May. Focus is on a particular book of the Bible, and the discussion looks at the historical context as well as the relevance for today’s lives.
