St Francis

Welcomes YOU

Welcome! If you walked through the doors of our beautiful church on a Sunday morning, these are some the people who would say hello, and tell you a little bit about St. Francis. In this time of social distancing, the building may be closed, but we are still gathering and we are glad that you have joined us here online. Please click on the videos below to hear a welcome message from some of our parishioners and clergy.

Rev. David

“…but we have new members too. People bringing new ways and understandings and new hunger for the Gospel. This is an invitation. Check us out, walk our grounds, meet our people, celebrate with us. Celebrate with us new creation and new life and new ways of being.”

“I really look forward to being back in person at St. Francis, but for now I am really enjoying the Zoom calls and it’s nice to see everybody and to get a good message. … Hope to meet you soon.”

“…However you connect with us you will be certain to find a spiritual home based in Gods love and our love for each other and our love for the world. Welcome!”

Kathy & Dana

“We’re glad you found us. What draws us to this community IS the community. “

“We found a friendly, caring Christian community that seemed to fit us well. … I look forward to meeting you and getting to know and I hope you’ll consider becoming part of the St. Francis family.”

“The people are great. It’s my church family and I adore them. We hope that you join us for worship services or fellowship.”

Are you new to St. Francis Great Falls?

We are so excited that you chose to join on-line services offered by St. Francis! If you are currently looking for a place to worship, we would love to be your church home. Here are some details that may be helpful to you to become part of our Franciscan community.

Sign up for email communications
The best source of information on the life of our congregation is our weekly newsletter. Each Thursday, our parish office sends out an email with current news on upcoming program offerings and schedules. Online Worship Services
We are not gathering in our sanctuary, but we are gathering together from our homes to praise God, to give thanks, to encourage and support each other, and to pray for healing in a hurting world.

All of our services are offered over the Zoom video conferencing platform. In addition to Sunday Morning Prayer at 9 AM, we offer weekday Morning Prayer at 8 AM, and weekday Evening Prayer at 5 PM. You can download the Order of Service for Sunday morning in advance from our Home page. We encourage you to log in ten minutes early so that we have time to chat.

Virtual Coffee Hour
Each week after the 9:00 Sunday Morning Prayer, worshippers are encouraged to stay for our virtual “Coffee Hour.”  Attendees are randomly assigned to “Breakout Rooms” where five or six are able to have friendly conversations.  It is a great way to be able to meet members of the St. Francis family during this time of social distancing.

Virtual Bible Studies, Contemplative Prayer and Men’s Group
Meet other parishioners by joining in thoughtful and prayerful discussions.  See the schedule on the Gatherings page for information about these opportunities.

Virtual Social Hour
On Wednesdays at 5:30, parishioners meet for conversation over the beverage of their choice. Franciscans are a naturally friendly and fellowship-loving group.  Our members come from throughout the Washington metropolitan area and find St. Francis to be an outgoing church family. To come to the Wednesday Social Hour, see the schedule on the Gatherings page.
